The Principal Professional Learning Program (PPLP) assist principals in continuing their professional growth. It is intended to enhance and affirm Principals in their leadership role within the local and broader Catholic community and beyond, and be a source of ongoing enrichment to the school and system.

Principals are eligible to access this program after eight years of principalship. It allows up to six weeks of support and leave to undertake a program. Applications are submitted annually and a Diocesan criterion is applied to select participants. Each principal must negotiate the choice of program with his or her Canonical Administrator and Catholic Education Office. It can include: short formal course, progress towards post-graduate qualification; structured program or professional experience and; an individually designed program (IDP)
