Catholic schools nurture students throughout their educational journey with a deep connection to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Working in partnership with parents, parish and the broader community our schools provide an environment which enables all students to learn and flourish as a part of their human development.

The Ballarat Diocese encompasses a range of schools including several small schools in rural and remote areas as well as large schools in regional centres. In partnership with schools the Catholic Education Office Ballarat ensures each school is adequately and equitably resourced through the provision of centralised services. This requires a system approach to funding and the establishment of a range of Catholic Education Office positions to deliver school-based services. At the same time, the Catholic Education Office works toward creating an atmosphere of local autonomy and responsibility within each school community.

The Curriculum and Student Services Teams provide a combined service to schools in the pursuit of the provision of quality learning programs for all students, and aim for every student's needs to be met; both in well-being and academic fields. The two arms of the Educational Services Group work both collaboratively and independently as required, utilizing the collective and individual knowledge and skills to assist schools. Challenging, questioning and seeking evidenced based solutions to issues that arise for students, teachers and school communities, we encourage all to strive for personal and continual improvement, and endeavour to provide current, future-focused and practical supports.
